Low Outgassing Silicone

ElastaPro makes low outgassing silicones for high-vacuum environment environments where material purity is paramount. Applications include aerospace, defense, electronics, optics, and medical devices. Choose solid silicone sheet or uncured silicone compound that is specifically formulated and processed to minimize the release of volatile compounds under vacuum and/or heat to prevent the contamination of sensitive components such as lenses, sensors, and electronic circuits. These solid sheet materials are easy to die cut and provide a superior sealing and gasketing solution. Thicknesses range from 0.010″ to .0500″ and widths up to 36″ are available.

Four Low Outgassing Silicones

ElastaPro offers four low outgassing silicones in different durometers (hardness) on the Shore A scale.

  • ESS40LO is a 40-durometer low outgassing silicone.
  • ESS50LO is a 50-durometer low outgassing silicone.
  • ESS60LO is a 60-durometer low outgassing silicone.
  • ESS70LO is a 70-durometer low outgassing silicone.

  • Post-cured to ensure minimal volatile content and stability
