AMS Silicone Sheet and Uncured Compound

AMS3306 silicone meets an aerospace material specification for a high-strength, high-tear, high-modulus solid silicone rubber (MQ/MVQ elastomer) with a Shore A hardness of 60 durometer (typically 55 to 65). AMS3306 specifies a specialized silicone elastomer designed for high-temperature environments and resistance to gas turbine engine oils and phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, with a wide operating temperature range typically from -85°F to 437°F (-65°C to 225°C).

Key characteristics of AMS 3306 silicone rubber:

  • Hardness: 60 durometer Shore A (55–65 range, high modulus).

  • Temperature Resistance: Operates across a broad temperature range, from approximately -85°F (-65°C) up to 437°F (225°C).

  • Chemical & Fluid Resistance: Highly resistant to weathering, ozone, high-aniline-point petroleum-based lubricating oils, and gas turbine engine oils / phosphate ester hydraulic fluids. It is generally not recommended for contact with hydrocarbon-based fuels and low-aniline-point petroleum fluids due to excessive swelling.

  • Material: A high-strength, high-tear methyl or methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MQ/MVQ elastomer).

  • Forms: Supplied in sheets, strips, tubing, extrusions, uncured compounds, and custom molded shapes.
